Rocket Pool Staking
ETH holders can stake any amount for rETH; node operators can run a minipool with a reduced ETH bond plus RPL collateral.
Rocket Pool is a decentralized Ethereum staking protocol offering both liquid staking and permissionless node operation. For most users, the simple path is liquid staking: you deposit ETH and receive rETH, a token whose exchange rate against ETH increases as staking rewards accumulate. For more technical users, Rocket Pool lets you run a validator (a minipool) with a smaller ETH bond than solo staking, supplemented by RPL collateral. The official site is rocketpool.net and the documentation lives at docs.rocketpool.net.
What sets Rocket Pool apart is its emphasis on decentralization: the node network is open, so anyone meeting the requirements can help secure Ethereum rather than relying on a small operator set. That design goal appeals to people who want liquid staking without concentrating trust in a single company.
Rewards are variable. rETH does not pay a fixed yield; instead its redemption value drifts upward over time in line with the underlying validators’ performance, which itself depends on Ethereum’s network-wide staking conditions. Node operators can earn additional commission on the ETH they stake on behalf of the pool, plus periodic RPL rewards, but those too fluctuate and are never guaranteed.
The risks are real. Even a well-audited protocol can contain smart-contract bugs. Node operators are exposed to slashing if their validators misbehave, and RPL collateral carries its own price volatility. As with all liquid staking, rETH can trade away from its theoretical value in thin or stressed markets. Use only the official site and documented app links, verify contract addresses, and understand exactly how you will convert rETH back to ETH before you deposit.

How to participate — via official sources only
- Read the protocol overview at rocketpool.net and the docs at docs.rocketpool.net.
- For liquid staking, deposit ETH through the official app to receive rETH, whose value grows relative to ETH as rewards accrue.
- For node staking, review the current ETH bond and RPL collateral requirements in the official docs before committing hardware.
- Verify all contract addresses and app links against the official documentation.
- Plan your exit: swap or burn rETH for ETH through supported, official routes.
- Fake Rocket Pool front-ends and 'RPL claim' scams circulate; only use rocketpool.net and its documented app links.
- Rocket Pool never asks for your seed phrase or private keys.
