What is Claim Window?

The limited time period during which eligible users can claim an airdrop or reward before it expires or is reclaimed.

A claim window is the deadline-bound period when you can actually collect tokens you qualified for. Miss it and, depending on the project, unclaimed tokens may be returned to the treasury, burned, or redistributed. Windows can last days, weeks, or months.

For reward seekers, knowing the window prevents leaving value on the table. It also helps you plan gas fees, since claiming is an on-chain transaction that costs a small network fee.

Example: a project opens claims for sixty days after its token generation event; a user who qualified but forgets to claim within those sixty days may lose the allocation permanently.

Safety note: the pressure of a closing window is exactly what scammers imitate. Fake “last chance to claim” messages push you to a look-alike domain that requests a malicious token approval. A genuine claim window is announced on official channels and does not require your seed phrase. Verify the real URL yourself, and remember that a real deadline still gives you time to check carefully. Related terms include airdrop, phishing, and token approval.
