What is Wallet Drainer?

A wallet drainer is a piece of scam infrastructure designed to steal everything from a connected wallet in a single deceptive step. It often lives on a fake airdrop or campaign page. When you connect and approve what looks like a harmless action, you are actually signing a transaction or token approval that hands attackers control of your assets.

This is one of the biggest threats to reward hunters, because drainers hide behind exactly the kind of “claim your tokens” pages people are eager to use. The theft is instant and irreversible.

Example: you click a link promising an airdrop, connect your wallet, and the site asks you to “confirm” a signature; approving it grants the attacker permission to transfer your tokens, and they do so immediately.

Safety note: reach claim pages only through independently verified official links, and read every signature and approval request carefully before confirming. Use a separate low-value wallet for unknown sites, revoke unused approvals regularly, and consider a hardware wallet so nothing signs without on-device confirmation.
