What is Eligibility Criteria?

The published rules that decide who qualifies for an airdrop, quest reward, or campaign, such as minimum activity or holding a token.

Eligibility criteria are the conditions a project sets to decide who receives a reward. They might include a minimum number of transactions, holding a certain token at the snapshot, bridging funds, completing quests, or simply signing up before a deadline. Good projects publish these rules clearly.

Understanding criteria helps you spend effort wisely. Instead of chasing every rumour, you can read the official documentation, confirm what actually counts, and avoid wasting gas fees on actions that do not qualify. It also helps you spot fakes: real criteria are specific and verifiable, while scams stay vague and pressure you to “act now”.

Example: a testnet campaign might state that only wallets that completed three specific tasks and held a role in the community will be eligible, with a snapshot taken on a named date.

Safety note: eligibility is checked against public on-chain data or a verified account, never against your seed phrase. If any “eligibility checker” asks for your recovery phrase or a blanket token approval, it is a wallet-drainer, not a checker. Related terms include airdrop, snapshot, and quest.
